Salmon Croquettes Recipe
Ingredients:
For the Croquettes:

16 oz salmon flakes (or 3 cans of 5 oz canned salmon, drained and flaked)
1 large egg, lightly beaten
½ cup Panko breadcrumbs
¼ cup all-purpose flour
½ green bell pepper, chopped
½ red bell pepper, chopped
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
¼ cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
¼ cup chopped cilantro
Avocado oil (for frying)

Instructions:
Mise en Place: Gather and pre-measure all ingredients.
Flake the Salmon: Flake cooked fresh salmon or drained canned salmon with a fork.
Combine Dry Ingredients: Whisk together breadcrumbs and flour.
Mix Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, combine flaked salmon, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, vegetables, herbs, seasonings, and eggs.
Integrate Everything: Gently fold wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined.
Chill the Mixture (Optional): Refrigerate for 15-20 minutes.
Form the Croquettes: Shape mixture into balls or patties with lightly wet hands.
Prepare for Frying: Heat avocado oil in a skillet over medium heat to 350°F (175°C).
Fry the Croquettes: Fry croquettes for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
Drain and Serve: Transfer croquettes to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
